Especially in the northern part of the country, after a long winter! The gardening season has started in earnest here at the Dera in Bruce. Due to some unusually warm weather, nature is exploding – you can almost watch the trees turning green in real time! We have been busy preparing the soil, getting ready to plant. This year we are trying out something new, mats or landscape fabric, to help us with keeping the weeds under control and preserving the moisture in the ground. We are excited to give this a try.
